Peter’s paintings are based on subjects found in articles, pictures, and advertisements that appear in newspapers and magazines. They often represent a brief time in everyday life. Peter is interested in that moment – its mood, light, and emotion – and wants to share those feelings with the viewer.

A little about production…

The original watercolor is processed by ArtScans Studio, located in Culver City, CA. The company specializes in preparing images for use in digital printing systems. They scan the original painting using an extremely high-resolution flat-bed scanner that yields a digital image. The image is then stored on a CD and sent to a printer.

Kolibri Digital Connection is a print-making specialist located in Torrance, CA. The firm takes the image from the ArtScans CD and prints it on an Iris ink-jet printer which is capable of printing in an almost unlimited range of colors. Proofs are made and matched against the original painting. The best proof is selected for the production of prints. The finished prints are printed on special heavy paper stock and treated with a light and water-resistant coating.
